Travel
to Romania
Bucharest
International Airport - OTOPENI (http://www.otp-airport.ro/),
located at about 400 km far from Iasi, is connected by direct flights
with the most of the important cities in Europe. The important
international airlines (AIR FRANCE, LUFTHANSA, KLM, AUSTRIAN AIRLINES,
BRITISH AIRWAYS, ALITALIA etc.) operate 2-3 flights per day to
Bucharest. Romanian Airline Company - TAROM (http://www.tarom.ro)
operates also direct flights all over Europe as well as to New York.
If
you plan to attend the SMM16 Conference in Düsseldorf, held just
before ANMM 2003 Workshop, you could take one of the direct flights
operated every day by LUFTHANSA or TAROM from Frankfurt to Bucharest-Otopeni
International Airport. Other flight operators, including LUFTHANSA,
have also good connections from Düsseldorf to Bucharest. It will be
better if you could arrive in Bucharest on Friday, 12th of
September, or on Saturday, 13th of September. Please
consider that it is convenient (it could be significantly cheaper) to
split the travel ticket into two parts, e.g. instead of buying one
ticket NY - Frankfurt – Bucharest - NY, to buy 2 tickets:
NY-Frankfurt-NY + Frankfurt-Bucharest-Frankfurt.
Travel
to Iasi
There
are a few possibilities to travel from Bucharest (Bucuresti) to Iasi.

If

take the direct TAROM (http://www.tarom.ro)

There

Iasi operated by Angels Airlines (http://www.angelairlines.ro/),
which leaves Bucharest at 6:30 PM and arrives in Iasi at 7:30 PM. If
this flight is much more convenient for you please let us know and we
will arrange the transfer from one airport to the other one.
